Like the book a good read
Good read
This short book reads like a bad translation from Japanese. It may well give accurate information for breeders or advanced hobbyists, but will not help beginners who are thinking about having Koi.A pond with sump, pre-filter and biological filters, sized at 1000 gallons per fish, with caves for protection; a 1000 gallon quarantine tank in which you quarantine each new fish for at least a month, but they need a "healthy buddy" (how the buddy stays healthy if the quarantined fish is sick is not explained); and what amounts to a fully stocked medical lab. These are some, but by no means all, of the things a "beginner" needs. And you thought Polo was expensive.There are good e-books out there about basic Koi pond creation, stocking and maintenance, that give you realistic tips if you just want to try the hobby. Some of them are even free. This one is neither.
