I bought an Easy Bake Oven and this recipe book for my grandchildren to use at my house. I should have paid more attention to the other reviews because the Oven takes so long to cook, the children lose interest. What DID work, however, was making up the recipes from this book and bagging individual packets. The kids love using the small pans and making their own cakes. We bake them in my regular oven. Instead of the 1 hour+ that the Easy Bake Oven takes, their little cakes are done in about 10 minutes, just time for them to mix up some frosting. So, I recommend just buying this cook book, a few small pans, and using mom's oven. Much cheaper and lots of fun.
Bought this item #1 the refill picks are not cheap #2 so that my grand daughter can have ,well more organic than the preservative filled packets that come with the oven. The recipes are simple ,big print and best of all she will never run out of the mixed and will be able to use the oven as often as possible rather then it sitting in the corner. Very resonable price , less than one refill pack.👌
I am a mom of a little easy baker and this cookbook is a GODSEND! Those $6.99 Easy Bake Oven kits ADD UP. This book is great. Most recipies are for sweets, but there is a quesadilla and a pizza recipie, and a few other non sweet selections. The writing is large, perfect for early readers.
I was very pleased with this recipe book. It was a birthday gift for my oldest granddaughter. The book has a lot of recipes for the Easy Bake Oven using ingredients you already have like flour, sugar, eggs, and such. This provides great tasting results rather than boxed cake sand cookies. I highly recommend it!
Awesome little book! My niece has an Easy Bake Oven and for the past couple years, her grandma has been going all around town trying to buy up all the Easy Bake mixes she can find.I was tired of being forced to eat red 40 and other fluorescent colored and oddly flavored ‘cakes’ when I’d visit, so this is a lifesaver for them AND me! Hehe, Now they can bake with basic ingredients you’d find in any pantry, phew!!It was a excellent gift for my niece.
My daughter and I used this cookbook tonight and i have noticed a few things.1. The amount of the mixture does not fit the easy bake ovens pans. there is way to much. We cooked it in the home oven at 350 degrees.2. There is no indication how long to cook item3. There is no place in recipe to tell you what temperature to cook it.I thought that this was for the easy bake oven but I am really disappointed by this purchase.
There are some great and surprising recipes in this book, such as Gooey Carmel Layer Bars! Yum!The best thing is that it keeps the cost of supplying a little baker with materials low. If fact each recipe makes 10 times more than you get in the store bought version.The only thing that would make this better is if each little portion was individually wrapped and packaged, but with today's computers it's easy to design a folding box out if paper and baggies take care of the rest. Your little one could have a personal line of baking boxes! :0)
Nice little cookbook for recipes which are much cheaper than the package mixes. Make them up ahead of time in plastic bags so they are readywhen your little baker wants to get busy! Also, gives you lots of variety.
